Looking for something fun to do with the family on Saturday, November 7 or Sunday, November 8, 2026? Here are seven different ideas around Ho Chi Minh City. Four are regular venues for arts, skating and role-play, while three are a Sunday workshop or special exhibitions and events.

An important age note: The four main activity picks work especially well for school-age children, although each venue has its own rules. The KidsPlaza festival is specifically for babies and children up to age four. The baking workshop's exact age range has not been confirmed. Choose by your child's interests, age and any height requirements, not by a single age label.

1. Pottery painting at Ceramic4You: a keepsake to take home later

Where: Ceramic4You in Thảo Điền, No. 4 Lê Văn Miến, Thủ Đức.

Children can choose a ceramic piece, decorate it with paint and glazes, and have it fired before collecting their finished work. The studio offers tools and materials for a relaxed, creative outing. It is listed as suitable for ages 6 and up, and a typical painting session lasts about 2.5 hours. Finished pieces are normally available for collection within 72 hours, not immediately.

Budget: Packages begin at 300,000 VND per piece/person and increase with the size of the item. The venue advertises weekend opening, but confirm the day's hours and whether a booking is required before traveling.

Good to know: Ask which pieces are included in the starting package, how the firing and collection process works, and whether a parent needs to stay.

2. Ice skating at Landmark 81: cool down and try something different

Where: Vincom Ice Rink, B1, Vincom Center Landmark 81, 772 Điện Biên Phủ, Bình Thạnh.

Ice skating is a fun indoor choice for adventurous children and families who want a break from the heat. New skaters can check whether support aids are available and confirm the rink's current safety requirements. There is no matching published KiddoGo activity listing yet, so use Vincom's official venue page.

Budget: Vincom's published weekend prices are 175,000 VND for skaters under 140 cm and 250,000 VND for visitors 140 cm or taller. Its price list also gives 30,000 VND for a guardian ticket, 30,000 VND for skate rental and 15,000 VND for socks. These are published reference figures, not a live price quote.

Good to know: Ask about age/height eligibility, skate sizes, available sessions, and any maintenance or temporary closure before heading over.

3. Try a new role at Vietopia: a miniature city for kids

Where: Vietopia, 98 Nguyễn Thị Thập, Tân Hưng, District 7.

At this indoor role-play city, children can explore different jobs, from emergency response to aviation and creative professions. Vietopia lists its main activities for ages 4–15, so it can suit many siblings even if they enjoy different things.

Budget: The official booking information advertises several options: a 99,000 VND experience ticket for three selected role-play stations, an afternoon child ticket of 150,000 VND after noon (purchased at the counter), and a separately listed 280,000 VND full-day child ticket. Adult companion tickets and package conditions may add to the total. Compare the exact package at checkout before buying.

Good to know: Official booking pages show different published operating-hour information. Check the November 7–8 schedule, ticket categories and age requirements directly; do not assume every role-play station will be available all day.

See Vietopia on KiddoGo · Official Vietopia ticket and booking page

4. Go roller skating in Tân Bình: movement for beginners and regular skaters

Where: Vietnam Roller Rink & Academy, Cộng Hòa, 15–17 Cộng Hòa, Tân Bình.

The covered rink has a large skating surface, beginner practice space and areas for more advanced skaters. Its official description highlights skating practice, rental equipment and introductory support. Families with children aged 4 and up can ask about casual sessions and coaching.

Budget: KiddoGo records a reported standard entry fee of about 60,000 VND, with skates and protective equipment included. The official venue site does not have a current public ticket table, so please confirm weekend admission, rental inclusion and any lesson charges directly.

Good to know: Bring socks, ask whether the right skate sizes and protective equipment are available, and check how beginner instruction works before visiting.

Three more ideas for this weekend

5. Children's baking workshop at XVI: Sunday morning only

When: Sunday, November 8, starting at 9:00 AM.

Where: XVI. Eatery & Drinks, 204B/6 Nguyễn Văn Hưởng, Thảo Điền, Thủ Đức.

XVI has advertised a hands-on children's baking workshop for 100,000 VND per child. Book by sending XVI. Eatery & Drinks a direct message on Facebook or Instagram. Confirm remaining spaces before paying.

Age range, baking activity, duration, ingredients, allergy arrangements, adult participation and capacity have not been fully confirmed. Contact the organizer before planning around this event.

6. KidsPlaza Family Festival in Gò Vấp: free for younger families

When: Saturday and Sunday, November 7–8. Individual activity times depend on the program.

Where: Festival Mẹ Bầu & Em Bé, organized by KidsPlaza, 5A Nguyễn Văn Lượng, An Hội Đông, Gò Vấp area.

This is the younger-child option, rather than an ages 6–12 activity. KidsPlaza advertises Family Day for children ages 1–4 and their parents, a crawling activity for babies 7 to under 12 months, and an Iron Racer challenge for children 12–18 months. Expectant-parent sessions and shopping activities are also part of the festival.

Budget: Free according to the official event website. But advance registration is not the same as confirmation for limited activity slots. Some programs require the organizer to verify eligibility and confirm participation. Save the registration QR code and check for confirmation before making a special trip.

7. Children's paintings at Tôn Đức Thắng Museum: free and easy to explore

Where: “Hành trình 20 mùa hoa” exhibition at Tôn Đức Thắng Museum, 5 Tôn Đức Thắng, Sài Gòn Ward, District 1.

A calm and creative alternative to the busier activities. The museum's exhibition looks back on 20 years of a children's drawing competition, with more than 180 documents, objects and prize-winning artworks. Try choosing a favorite painting together or asking what story the image tells. This is an exhibition, not a pottery or painting class.

When: The exhibition runs August 20, 2026 through February 28, 2027. Regular visiting hours are listed as Tuesday–Sunday, 7:30–11:30 AM and 1:00–5:00 PM; the museum is closed Mondays.

Budget: Free admission. Ask the museum about holiday closures or special arrangements before visiting.

Before you leave

  • Choose one idea that suits your child. A pottery visit can take over two hours; an event with a fixed session may require booking in advance.
  • Budget for the whole family. Check companion tickets, equipment rental, transport, snacks and parking before setting off.
  • Check event dates and current availability. The baking workshop happens on Sunday only. The KidsPlaza festival runs both days, with particular activities subject to registration.
  • Make a weather backup. Most of these venues are indoors or covered, but traveling between them is not.
  • Use the booking and organizer links. A published listing does not guarantee a remaining space or an unchanged price.

Checked against available organizer information on November 3, 2026. Prices, operating hours, session dates, eligibility and registration status can change. KiddoGo has not confirmed live availability for these activities.
