Families gather on the open grass beside Road N11 in Thủ Thiêm to fly kites and watch the city skyline at sunset. The field is busiest from around 16:00 to 18:30, when the wind is stronger and temperatures are cooler. Access to the field is free. Visitors can bring their own kite or buy one from nearby sellers; recent guides reported typical kite prices of about 70,000–150,000 VND. A dependable rental service was not confirmed. The area is informal, so families should supervise children, protect personal belongings, avoid crowded kite lines and stay away from ponds, traffic and power lines.
