Match the technology activity to your child's stage
A good STEM option should be more than screen time. Younger children may need playful sequencing and simple robotics, while older learners may want coding, electronics, design and projects that become more challenging over time.

Four ways to explore STEM
Follow a progressive robotics pathway from age five
STEM Town Robotics and Coding Pathway in Thu Duc groups learners approximately as ages 5 to 7, 8 to 10 and 11 and up.
Courses progress from early creative coding and mTiny activities to xBot robotics, programming and AI-enabled projects. Sessions are listed at 90 minutes, and a trial is available. Contact the centre for placement and tuition.
Combine coding, robotics and 3D design
RoboFox Coding, Robotics and 3D Design Classes in Thao Dien is listed for ages 5 to 17.
The programme covers coding, robotics, electronics, 3D modelling and creative engineering. English is supported and a trial is available, but the current timetable, course level and package fee must be confirmed.
Start with bilingual digital creation for ages 4 to 7
DigiUni Baby Engineers - Coding and Robotics Ages 4-7 in Binh Thanh introduces ScratchJr-style programming, robotics, introductory 3D modelling, design and basic computer skills.
Activities are offered in English and Vietnamese. Sessions are listed at 60 minutes, and new families can request a free trial before choosing a package.
Try technology without joining a course
Light City Art, Science and Technology Playground at Gigamall has more than 40 interactive games, virtual experiments and motion-responsive installations.
Tickets are currently 150,000 VND with unlimited play during the visit. Anti-slip socks cost 15,000 VND if needed. The official booking page states a minimum height of one metre and requires children under five to be accompanied.
Compare more than the headline topic
- Ask what children actually build. A clear project is more useful than a broad promise of coding or robotics.
- Check the progression. Find out what comes after the first level and how children move forward.
- Confirm teaching language. English is supported at RoboFox and DigiUni in the current listings, but ask about the selected teacher and group.
- Request the full package price. Hardware, software access, materials and assessments may be separate.
- Use a trial to check fit. Interest, pace and teacher interaction matter as much as the topic.
