Choose between an easy city visit and a planned farm day

Animal activities around HCMC range from a central drop-in attraction to full rural experiences that need advance booking and travel time. Think about the child's age, heat tolerance, clothing and how much hands-on activity the family wants.

The four current KiddoGo listings below have different access rules, prices and levels of supervision.

Four animal and farm experiences

Visit the central zoo and botanical gardens

Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens Visit combines animal enclosures, mature gardens and educational areas in District 1.

Admission is based on height. Children under one metre enter free with an adult, children from one metre to under 1.3 metres pay 40,000 VND, and visitors 1.3 metres and above pay 60,000 VND. Current official pages list daily hours from 07:00 to 18:30, but confirm the day's last-entry time.

Book a full hands-on farmer experience

Pro Farm One-Day Farmer Experience in Hoc Mon is listed for ages 4 to 14.

Published activities include rice planting, digging sweet potatoes, growing mushrooms, making traditional food, rowing and outdoor village challenges. Child tickets have been reported at 170,000 VND and adult tickets at 220,000 VND. Reserve and confirm the current package before travelling.

Combine rural play with a flexible family day

Sunshine Farm Hoc Mon Family Farm Day is listed for ages 2 to 14. Activities include rowing, catching fish, herding ducks, animal and garden areas, traditional games, crafts and water play.

Current tickets start from 90,000 VND for all-day play. A 200,000 VND package includes lunch and an afternoon snack. The venue is listed Tuesday to Sunday from 07:00 to 18:00.

Add a short crocodile learning stop

Saigon Crocodile Village in District 12 is listed for ages 4 to 15. Families can observe crocodiles of different ages and learn about breeding, egg incubation and juvenile care from protected visitor areas.

Entry is currently reported as free, with crocodile-fishing rods at 10,000 VND. Hours are listed as daily from 06:00 to 22:00, but confirm before making a special trip.

Make the visit respectful and safe

  1. Follow staff instructions around animals. Do not feed, touch or enter an animal area unless the activity specifically includes supervised interaction.
  2. Stay close to children near water and barriers. Farms can include ponds, bridges, boats and uneven ground.
  3. Dress for the activity. Closed shoes, sun protection and clothes that can get dirty are useful for farm days.
  4. Check the weather and meal plan. Outdoor programmes can change in heavy rain, and food inclusions vary.
  5. Confirm direct family access. Some farms also serve schools and groups, so reserve the correct family product.
