Four structured HCMC options for older children who want progression, challenge and real skills.

Look beyond activities designed mainly for younger children

Older children often want more than general play. A good fit may offer a skill pathway, a physical challenge, a creative project or a group where the level can grow over time.

The four options below all include ages 9 and above within their current KiddoGo age range. Some are ongoing programmes and one is a time-limited August art series, so confirm availability before booking.

Four options with more challenge and progression

Build deeper STEM skills

Quantum Makers Studio - Thao Dien offers small-group STEAM pathways for ages 6–15. The programme covers coding, electronics, robotics, 3D printing, science, design and entrepreneurship.

KiddoGo currently lists 12-week terms from 6,000,000 VND and advanced pathways from 7,000,000 VND. A free trial can be requested so families can discuss the right pathway before enrolling.

Join a focused art series

Kids Art Lab Club, Fridays 3:00-4:40 PM is an English-led four-session programme for ages 7–11 in Thao Dien. Materials are included, and the current series uses nature and animal themes.

The published series starts on 14 August 2026 and costs 3,000,000 VND for four Fridays. Confirm the full date sequence and remaining places through the official booking page.

Try climbing after school

After-School Climb & Play at Crescent Wall in District 7 is listed for ages 8 and up. The weekday one-hour pass includes rental equipment, insurance and a safety briefing for first-time climbers.

The current price is 185,000 VND, with availability Monday to Friday from 13:00 to 18:00, excluding public holidays. Confirm school-holiday availability before visiting.

Find the right football level

LaLiga Academy Vietnam Youth Football runs age-group coaching at several HCMC venues. The programme includes older children and teenagers, with group placement based on age and level.

A free trial is currently available. Timetables and packages vary by venue, so use the trial request to confirm the closest pitch, correct group and current payable fee.

Questions to ask before enrolling

  1. What progression comes next? Ask how children move to a harder level or more independent work.
  2. Is a trial available? A trial helps an older child judge the teaching style and group fit.
  3. What is the full commitment? Check term length, required equipment, missed-session rules and total cost.
  4. How is the group organised? Age alone does not show whether the pace suits a beginner or an experienced child.
  5. Can the child join now? Some programmes use fixed cohorts or limited series dates.
