The open grass and paved areas around the District 12 multipurpose sports centre are used by local families for kite flying and light outdoor play. Wind is usually better after 16:30, and the space is most suitable for small and medium kites rather than giant designs. Access to the outdoor area is free, while parking is reported from 5,000 VND. Families should bring their own kite because no regular seller or rental service was confirmed. The wider complex may also have roller-skating, basketball, electric rides and other activities, but availability and charges can change.
